Job Overview:
We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist with a strong background in developing and deploying data-driven solutions, particularly within AdTech. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about leveraging machine learning and data science to solve complex business challenges, with a focus on developing innovative solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in building scalable models, optimising algorithms, and driving innovation in how we process, analyse, and utilise data at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Learning & Algorithm Development:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning models to optimise advertising performance.
- Lead the development of predictive modelling and recommendation systems to drive publisher revenue.
- Optimise and implement real-time decision-making algorithms in AdTech environments.
Data Infrastructure & Engineering:
- Work closely with data engineers to build robust, scalable, and production-ready data pipelines.
- Implement efficient feature engineering and model deployment pipelines in cloud-based environments.
- Leverage large-scale datasets to enhance automation and intelligent decision-making across the platform.
AdTech Innovation & Applied Research:
- Explore and implement advanced machine learning techniques such as reinforcement learning, deep learning, and causal inference to solve industry-specific challenges.
- Keep up with the latest research in programmatic advertising, user engagement prediction, and privacy-preserving data science.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Partner with engineering, product, and business teams to integrate machine learning solutions into live products.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in applied machine learning and data science, preferably in AdTech, programmatic advertising, or digital marketing.
- Proven experience in deploying machine learning models into production environments.
- Expertise in Python, SQL, and cloud-based ML frameworks (AWS SageMaker, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
- Strong experience working with real-time data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Flink, Kafka).
- Deep understanding of probabilistic modelling, optimisation techniques, and experimentation frameworks (e.g., A/B testing, multi-armed bandits).
- Familiarity with AdTech ecosystems including RTB (real-time bidding), DSPs, SSPs, and auction theory.
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and algorithmic thinking.
- Ability to work with large, complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical
- concepts to business stakeholders.
