The Investment Performance team sit within the Investment & Activation team and is focused on value control and optimisation to ensure accurate delivery of media buying commitments across all channels for our blue chip and expanding client base. Working closely with client planning and investment teams across the business to apply best practice and ensure that our clients always receive appropriate media value and delivery of contracted commitments.
The team plays a vital role quantifying and tracking media buying performance across all relevant audited clients in the UK for our local and group clients. We continue to challenge and seek new ways of identifying and assessing media value driving HMN forward to excel in this area.

The Role
Following several high-profile new business wins in 2024, we have an exciting and rare opportunity for someone to join our vibrant and rapidly growing team as a Manager in media investment performance and accountability.
The Investment Performance team sit within the Investment & Activation team and is focused on value control and optimisation to ensure accurate delivery of media buying commitments across all channels for our blue chip and expanding client base. Working closely with client planning and investment teams across the business to apply best practice and ensure that our clients always receive appropriate media value and delivery of contracted commitments.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and influence media buying performance across all media channels to ensure accurate delivery against commitments. Course-correct, identify and manage any challenges in good time.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the wider Havas team, media auditors and clients.
- Control and direct media audit tracking and alignment with external media auditors such as Ebiquity, SLiK, MediaSense, and ECI.
- Compile buying results and ad-hoc reporting for stakeholders including agency management, clients and auditors. Manage and deliver audit meetings oversee delivery and alignment of data with auditors and agency team.
- Manage processes, design reporting templates and be the expert on contract deliverables, targets, methodology, value optimisation, and delivery.
- Support the team to refine and craft media KPIs for clients, manage PRF and contracted delivery while managing value and optimisation of results to accurately deliver commitments.
- Run weekly face-to-face meetings with team. Quarterly meetings with agency investment teams and buyers to manage delivery and course correct where necessary.
- Problem solve and assist with any team/auditor/client queries as required.
- Work with the commercial team to create compelling pricing and PRF proposals for clients which are competitive and sustainable. Support agency team on new business pitches compiling required templates in an accurate and timely manner.
- Embrace the HMN shadowing programme to build specialist channel planning and activation experience to enrich capabilities within your role.
- Your success will be measured based on your ability to manage the agency’s media audited client base and successful delivery of commitments and optimisation of PRFs. In addition to the resolution of challenges which may arise and identification of appropriate escalation routes, you will be viewed as a technical expert, showing mastery of methodologies, improvement of processes, and development of quality control systems. Your role will also develop people leadership skills - training, mentoring and developing direct report as well as upskilling the wider team in best practice in terms of delivery within accountability.
What we’re looking for
- Well-established organisational and analytical skills. Candidate must be highly numerate, with excellent attention to detail and expertise in value methodology.
- Fully capable and highly competent on Excel with an excellent working knowledge of other systems and auditor platforms and methodologies e.g. PowerPoint, Ad Intel, GMP365.
- UK media experience essential, gained via working as a media auditor, or within the investment/activation team or media performance team at a UK agency with a strong understanding and interest in media measurement metrics, KPIs, and market pricing dynamics across all media.
- A passion for delivery and innovation. Strong attention to detail and relentlessly focussed on identifying and optimising value for clients and HMN.
- Enquiring mind to push boundaries and create new approaches and proactively problem solve.
- A resilient self-starter who has the skills to juggle multiple requirements and manage deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to explain complicated concepts concisely and with clarity.
- A people person able to communicate at multiple levels with a positive and collaborative attitude, being able to make informed decisions and build strong relationships to deliver results.
- Experience of supervising or managing one or more junior team members.
