Who You Are
We're looking for a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer to join our Data Analytics team at Verve. This team processes millions of data requests per second from our ad exchanges, managing terabytes of data to support business intelligence, analytics, and data science. You'll be responsible for building a system that provides fast, reliable, and cost-efficient data access, helping us deliver accurate insights with an easy-to-use interface.
In this role, you'll work closely with our product and engineering teams, ensuring smooth project delivery. We're looking for someone who can handle large-scale data independently while being a great team player. You'll focus on developing new features, optimizing performance, and ensuring platform stability. Precision, efficiency, and delivering high-quality results are essential, and you'll report to the Engineering Manager, Data Analytics.

Research and Development
Our Data Engineer role includes the following responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and improving DWH solutions for the Adtech
- Ability to articulate business requirements and bridge the gap between development teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to present business and technical issues, ideas, and recommendations in verbal, written, and presentation formats using storytelling and logical arguments.
- Writing simple, understandable, testable, and efficient code with a focus on solid technical stability and great user experience
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand project functional requirements and objectives from a data processing perspective
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations in terms of security, and data privacy applied in the data processing layer
- Defining and implementing security measures according to best practices
Collaborative Work
- Work closely with product and reporting teams to provide accurate on-time and organize fast and easy access to them
- Design end-to-end DWH solutions, working closely with the data processing and data science engineering teams
- Collaborate with teams across the globe in different time zones
- Extend successful solutions and optimization to sister companies in Verve Group
What You Will Bring
- 5+ years experience working as a Data/DWH Engineer in industry is a must, where you have gained hands-on experience delivering DWH/OLAP solutions
- Having handled TB of data, not GB
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Cloud platforms: GCP
- RDS: MySQL, Postgres, any other
- SQL (understanding plans, troubleshooting, window functions)
- OLAP engine (preferably Vertica, BigQuery), MPP engines(Trino/Presto, Impala, ClickHouse)
- Apache Druid
- ELT/ETL: DBT, Airflow (Apache NiFi)
- Programming languages: Python (Java, Scala, R)
- Familiar with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, AWS QuickSight, etc)
- Data modeling: Star/Snowflake schema, Data Vault, Delta Tables/Lake, etc
- IaC: Terraform
Nice to have
- DevOps: Linux basics, networking, Ansible
- Containers & virtualization: Docker, Kubernetes
- Previous experience in Ad tech domain
- Spark, Hadoop
- Cloud platforms: AWS
