Job Summary
The Global Strategy Manager will be working with all markets and Global client stakeholders and will be responsible for leading those relationships on an Energy client.
This role sits within a global strategy ecosystem and is designed to support clients at a global and regional level.
The Global Strategy Manager will be responsible for developing communications and media strategies for client campaigns across several different lines-of-business. This will require insight gathering across different audience & media research tools, analysis of client, media & agency research and creating strategic recommendations for clients.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious, and self-motivated individual, who will be a valuable addition to our international team.
Mission & Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Global Media Strategies: Create and drive integrated global media strategies for major campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and brand positioning.
- Market Analysis and Insights: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges. Utilize insights to guide media planning and strategy.
- Campaign Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of global media campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, broadcast, and social media.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, creative, and analytics to ensure cohesive and effective media strategies.
- Agency Coordination: Manage relationships with external agencies(Creative/PR etc…), ensuring they deliver on strategic requirements
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and analyse campaign performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management. Adjust strategies as needed based on performance data.
- Budget Management: Oversee the global media budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide strategic media counsel to senior executives and other key stakeholders. Communicate media strategies and campaign results effectively.
- Innovation and Best Practices: Stay updated on the latest media trends, technologies, and best practices. Implement innovative approaches to enhance media effectiveness.
Soft Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to liaise confidently with clients at all levels and react to diverse cultural practises.
- Relationship building skills internally (local offices, global teams, finance team) and externally (clients and media owners) with the ability to quickly build rapport and establish strong working relationships.
- A creative mindset to develop innovative media solutions and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and media landscapes, ensuring strategies remain relevant and effective.
- Familiarity with media planning and analytics tools, such as GWI, YouGov, Nielsen and bespoke tools such as brand tracking reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and timeline management, effective under pressure and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong digital media experience working with programmatic and social media campaigns an advantage.
- Thorough understanding of the media planning and implementation process and the role of different media channels (ATL and digital) in the context of a media strategy.
- Excellent written and spoken English (other languages helpful).
- Global media experience is preferred.
- At least 4 years’ experience in a media agency preferably in an international capacity and therefore with some coordination experience
