We bring together the best of GroupM media, GroupM nexus capabilities in creative, ai and marketing science with Choreograph product and platforms to turn market technologies into market leading solutions for clients.
We are Solutions Development.
The underlying architecture of the team has been established to realise our mission and deliver an integrated GroupM where every ad experience works harder for clients. Cross-channel is our shared priority, through Best-In-Market channel solutions, where media is connected to deliver business impact and metrics that matter for clients.
There are two teams within Solutions Development.
-A team to technically scope, integrate and deploy platforms, capabilities, technologies and best practice to enable cross-channel at scale – We call this Solutions Integration (SI)
-A team to design and develop Best-In-Marketchannel solutions, that stand up as point solutions for clients, configured for cross-channel agility. We call this Channel Development (CD)
Operationally Channel Development will;
-Exist as two pods of three where each team member will be responsible for a core media channel, its End-to-End planning understanding and thought leadership, further to ongoing ideation & validation, channel development plan and realisation of planned benefits.
-Further to the individual contribution in channel development, each pod will operate as a three and drive emerging innovation that is deeply connected to the strategic pillars of Solutions Development [data strategy, cross-channel activation, consistent measurement] and therefore the needs of our clients.
There will be an expectation that talent is made available for key client engagements, such as winning current clients and pitching for new clients.
This role is to lead your channel solution(s) to help deliver an underlying architecture for channel excellence and cross-channel innovation.
Role Overview
As a team, and as an individual contributor you will have 4 macro priorities that will shape how you lead and execute the work necessary to advance how we further integrate media for cross-channel innovation.
-Clients - Develop best in class channel solutions synced to client needs, and cross-channel use cases accounting for media, nexus, C9H and market tech.
-Innovation - Leading voice in what our competition are doing and what innovation needs to look like. Operating as ‘innovation agents’ connected to EMEA for market alignment.
-Compliance - Own the necessities around DFV & compliance, pricing, margin and alignment to NMS global governance for compliant solution development & biz growth.
-Delivery - Lead cross-functional working groups to deliver plans as validated to enable 1+ / Cross-Channel & grow in channel point solution as a single Solutions Development team.
As viewing across the UK continues to fragment, across devices, platforms and content types, where the market experiences an increase in walled gardens, we must continue to offer clients a single point of access into connected supply, unified audiences, and outcomes that matter.
While we achieve this today through our Integrated Video and Advanced TV solutions, as the market continues to shift and new supply surfaces, we must ensure we are in step with those changes and seek to derive clear client and GroupM advantage.
In the role of Snr Manager, you will
-pay particular attention to the enablement of Online Video (OLV), YouTube and [ideally] social platforms with ‘in platform’ planning and buying experiences that can be leveraged when re-thinking, designing, developing and delivering features for solution enhancement.
-take responsibility for our established Integrated Video solution, owning the validation and enablement of our testing and development plan for the year in the UK, while taking a central role in the development delivery and launch of a new integrated social solution (!)
You will naturally find yourself collaborating with team members across the entirety of the squad;
-From the Associate Director for Advanced TV (video unification),
-To the Director for cross-channel (cross-channel enhancement),
-From the Director for Pan Regional (scaling video across markets),
-To members of our Solutions Integrations team (enabling repeatability for better colleague experiences)
Responsibilities
While we are hiring for a Snr Manager to own the development and testing plan for OLV and Social, as a team, agile the requirements of our clients and the business, we work with an open mind to change and reserve the right to review and shift channel and solution responsibilities as deemed necessary.
The core responsibilities are synonymous with each of our channel solutions, meaning over time a rich portfolio of channel experiences could be realized, enabling and accelerating your career growth (!)
For our Clients, you will…
- Be client obsessed, seeking to understand the inner workings of client needs in OLV & social.
- Network with and learn from practitioners in our agencies to ensure a finely tuned understanding of how your channel is planned, activated and measured.
- Connect with our emea colleagues as necessary to develop channel consistency, identifying areas for share and reapply as we seek to improve market connection.
- Deliver ongoing channel thought leadership to help inspire new client conversations.
In Innovation, you will…
- Be the go-to for what is happening in OLV and social, with a keen understanding of what the competition are doing to help shape solution differentiation.
- Own your own requirements gathering, validationand planning for feature release
- Defineinnovation to leapfrog our competition appropriately validating ideas through our Desirability, Feasibility, Viability framework.
- Deliver solutions with cross-channel agility in mind, noting the connection of media is vital for delivering an integrated GroupM, where every ad experience works harder for clients.
- Collaborate with Solutions Development on three fronts;
- - Realization of channel solutions in proprietary platforms.
- - - Understanding of and utilization of capabilities for solutions enhancement.
- - - - Driving channel testing, operationalization and best practice for repeatable scale
- Collaborate with our media & investment team to ensure effective media utilization.
- Develop and deliver an integratedvideo & integrated social testing plan, responsible for your own solutionpositioning, narrative and associatedmaterials, working collaboratively with the Channel Development team to ensure consistency across our documentation, accountable for those you lead.
- Take the lead on colleague upskilling to ensure an inspiring sell, available as necessary for clients and agency engagements.
In Compliance, you will…
- Be responsible for the compliant design and development of your solutions, reviewed with your line leader.
- With your line leader, you will continually review pricing, margin setting, margin extraction and product market fit to ensure time spent is equating to business impact.
- Establish anunderstanding of the supply chain and cost model for the solutions and technologies in your remit.
For our Delivery, you will…
- Manage cross-functional working groups to deliver developments & planned benefits.
- Work with our partnerships team utilizing partner benefits to enhance our solutions.
- Goal set yourself and your channel to grow in billings and net sales.
- Troubleshoot and pro-actively manage business challenges as they arise to ensure an enhanced and integrated portfolio of solutions for clients.
Requirements /
Skills & Experience
-You are experienced in Adtech. Rich portfolio of experience in social, programmatic &/or campaign management to evidence innovation, independent problem solving, and understanding of how media solutions are activated.
- 5+ year experience in the use of data and AI to drive campaign performance in platform
- Hands on keys experience with DV360, actively trading and optimizing in platform
- Demonstrated experience with planning and buying YouTube & OLV
- [Ideally’] demonstrated experience working in Social platforms/meta
-You are customer driven. Prioritising our agencies and customers to aid high quality validation through to the delivery of planned features and value that enhance the experience with GroupM nexus.

- Demonstrated experience prioritizing needs across multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience with matrix managing colleagues to deliver planned developments / projects
