The Role
As the agency expands its digital activation offering, the Performance Activation Manager will play a crucial role in implementing the Activation strategy, set out by your Activation Director, to ensure the day-to-day success of campaigns across your client portfolio. This role will manage activation across all major platforms in channels including Paid Social, Programmatic, Paid Search and Retail Media.
This role requires a strong understanding of a wide range of platforms and campaign delivery methodologies. The Performance Activation Manager will confidently lead activation discussions with clients and internal teams, demonstrating expertise in managing and developing junior team members. They will be a driving force in building a high-performing AI-driven activation team that consistently delivers exceptional results.
Individuals in this role possess strong digital activation experience across at least Paid Search platforms. You must show a willingness to expand this knowledge to other digital channels. This role requires strong attention to detail, workload management, communication skills and a Performance Mindset.
Leading a team of Performance Activation Executives, the Performance Activation Manager will oversee workload management and provide guidance and upskilling opportunities to their team members. They will empower their team to effectively execute client strategies and deliver exceptional results.
Your contributions will directly impact our Digital offering and support our mission in building the industries most innovative, AI-driven Performance Practice. Key Responsibilities
●Responsible for supporting the Planning department; by providing data, insights and previous learnings to help create best-in-class media planning tactics across all digital channels.
●Responsible for briefing, quality assurance and implementation of best-in-class, full funnel digital activation in-line with agreed media plan and strategy.
●Responsible for implementing the best-in-class cross-channel Digital execution process across your team and client portfolio.
●Responsible for the best-in-class cross-channel approaches, with the right use of data to inform optimisation strategies and improve account performance is in line with business objectives.
●Responsible for actively showing a Performance Mindset culture in putting forward optimisation recommendations with the goal of surpassing our client’s business objectives.
●Responsibility that “incremental test & learn frameworks” across all clients are completed and updated with delivery outcomes.
●Responsible for data, insights and learnings to all post campaign analysis and reports are delivered to the highest quality.
●Responsible for implementing different proprietary and third-party tools i.e. execution, tracking, optimisation, management and analytics whilst understanding the different strengths & limitations of each.
●Responsible for the management of workload across the team of Performance Activation Executives, ensuring tasks are completed to a high level and in a timely manner.
●Responsible for making time for their own development of all full-funnel digital activation certifications, Beta’s, best practices and industry changes.
●Responsible for financial accuracy through the planning & buying process with on time delivery.
Skills and Experience
●Strong experience of setting up and activating campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Bing and Search Ads 360. Willingness to learn to activate on platforms across other channels such as Paid Social, Programmatic and Retail Media.
●Ensure certifications across all activation platforms are completed and up-to-date.
●Experience of client servicing.
●Experience in supporting workload management of team members.
