THE ROLE
As the driving force behind our sports client’s social media presence, you will be responsible for delivery of the bespoke social strategy, creating social-first content that breaks the mould of the sports industry. You will be expected to challenge the status-quo with your thinking, and engage audiences online.
You will lead on the creation and delivery of monthly content calendars, asset briefing, content capture planning, copywriting, community management, campaign delivery, client meetings and monthly reporting, with the help of our Insights team.
You’ll be expected to display excellent organisation skills and strong client management and must demonstrate both strategic and creative skill sets with the ability to adapt to last minute client requests.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
- Leading the strategic management of all social media accounts for our sports client, specialising in rugby.
- Oversee all aspects of social, from content creation to time management.
- Client management - responding to all client requests in a timely manner whilst maintaining high standards and expectations that align with our culture of excellence.
- Producing monthly content calendars, working with the team to develop objective driven creative output that consistently engages the audience.
- Briefing the creation of all assets, ensuring the final output aligns to the strategy.
- Providing creative feedback on assets before they’re sent to the client for approval.
- Leading regular client updates, calls, meetings and presenting reports.
- Line management responsibilities of junior team members.
- Sharing and presenting internal learnings with the wider team and taking an active role in regular team brainstorms.
- Playing an active role in team events and contributing to positive company culture.
- Identifying & creating growth across current client opportunities.
- Supporting new business and agency promotion through research, outreach and more.
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum of 3 years experience in social media management, preferably within an agency background.
- Prior experience working in the sports industry, with a strong understanding of rugby.
- Passion for social media and keeping on top of current trends and opportunities.
- Clear creative briefing skills and the ability to work closely with creatives.
- Strong copywriting and community management skills, fitting a brand’s TOV.
- Excellent client communication skills.
- An enthusiastic approach to challenges.
- Strong strategic thinking.
- Excellent time management.
- High levels of organisation and efficiency.
- A team player who is willing to collaborate with peers to resolve problems.
- Strong English literacy.
- Ability to spot opportunities to drive revenue within current clients.
- Managerial experience desired.
